CHEMICAL RELEASE AGENT
|
|
Marlease is specially
formulated blend of volatile hydrocarbon solvent and Fatty acids, which
give superior performance to conventional mould oils, the Fatty acids react
with the water in the concrete to form a thin water repellant barrier, thereby
enabling easy stripping of the formwork from the concrete surface.
Marlease is a light brown coloured liquid, supplied ready for use- no thinning
is required. |
|
|
1. Marlease is
a viscosity, easily sprayable liquid or brush applied or with cotton waste.
2. Marlease is a suitable for application onto steel or wooden forms.
3. Marlease is NON-STAINING and is suitable for use with white cement.
4. Marlease prevents rust forming on steel forms and can also be used
to protect concreting plant after use.
5. Marlease helps to reduce the cleaning time for formwork and concrete
plant.
6. Marlease extends the life of the formwork due to the reduction of mechanical
cleaning required.
7. Allows air which would normally be trapped at the inter-face of the
concrete and formwork to escape during vibration and reduces the indidence
of blow holes in the concrete face. This reduces the surface imperfections
and also the need for remedial surface treatment at a later stage.

| How Cementone Marlease works? |
Cementone Marlease
reacts chemically with cement in such a manner that excellent release
properties are imported to the face of shuttering plates, concrete thus
cast using Marlease has a smooth, hard & uniform finish. Marlease does
not affect concrete in any harmful manner.
The adhesive of subsequent surface coatings or renders is not affected
by concrete treated with Marlease.

PREPARATION
On new formwork no preperation is required. On used formwork preparation
as follows: (a)STEEL AND PLASTIC FORMWORK, All rust, grease and cement paste
should be removed before application of Marlease.
(b.) WOODEN FORMWORK All adhering cement paste should be removed and the
surface scraped to remove any old mould oil that may be present.
